As of today, Brian and I are officially the owners of a townhouse in Sunnyvale! We picked up the keys this afternoon and danced a celebratory waltz on our new living room floor. We'll be moving furniture and big items this Saturday but will take the next week or so to fully vacate our current apartment. Exciting times! :)

It's been A WHOLE YEAR since I last wrote here. Sadness. I'm hoping to start blogging again semi-regularly, but we'll see whether that actually happens. It's been quite a year, so I won't even try to recap all of it in detail.
Here's the abridged version, in case there's anyone out there who reads this that doesn't keep up with me by other means (and who hasn't already given up on this blog):
- Brian and I got married last summer on July 28, 2007.
- We have been living in a lovely apartment in Sunnyvale.
- We never actually got fully unpacked and settled, but we are (God-willing) moving again soon, so we gave up on unpacking and have started re-packing.
- I had a very tumultuous 2nd year of teaching, but again by God's grace I actually made it through. Trust me when I tell you that during first semester I honestly did not think I would.
- Second semester, things improved steadily and significantly, both in terms of my handling the workload and my personal health. It helped that there were school breaks at regular intervals (as opposed to 1st semester that feels like IT WILL NEVER END).
- I turned in my grades this past Monday. I am happy to report that the whole end-of-the-year process was WAY less hectic than it was last year. I did, in fact, learn from my mistakes. Go me!
- Last but not least...Brian has been AMAZING. Truly amazing. It has not been easy to be married to me, folks.
Lots to look forward to next weekend:
- My brother is graduating from UC Davis this Friday! AND he's coming to Stanford for grad school next year! :-D
- Erin is getting married this Saturday! I am sooo excited for her! :-D
- Brian is (officially) graduating this Sunday! I am sooo proud of him! :-D
- That means I will be in Chicago for a grand total of...24 hours! (Arriving Saturday 6am after a red-eye flight and departing Sunday 6am bright and early. Yay sleep deprivation! At least we are well acquainted.)
- I get to see Minna during those 24 hours! She is providing me a lovely couch to sleep on for a few hours before I make my way back to the airport.
That's about it for now. Here's hoping I'll write again in less than 365 days! Anyone still out there, by the way?
