Okay, so apparently my dad has been worried about me because I haven't blogged in a week. Sorry. Things are super busy. I'm okay, more or less, other than being busy. I have a ton to write about, and that's why I keep putting it off. LOTS has happened, including lots of exciting things I want to squeal about! But no time. I'm off to Toyon to work on E20 and physics. Later...

Oh, my gosh. My week is over. Is the week really over? Oy...
Happy Birthday, Trisha!! :)
I remember celebrating your birthday with you 13 years ago...dang. ;)
Thank you so much again, Eddy!!!! You're a life-saver!
So are Eric and Jeff, who alleviated my TSF allocation.
I'm still not done with my E20 assignment. I am so tired...

Thank God there isn't physics due tomorrow.
We're doing tango in Social III. I don't really like it...It's so hard to follow!! But we learned a dip this morning. That was fun.
TSF is sooo evil.
I didn't realize there's a separate part to the E20 assignment (aside from the partner part using a special Matlab program) that requires research. Aghhhhh. This week is sucking a lot.

I finished my midterm.
I finished my labs.
I got a donut in the chem lobby.
God is good.
It's been a tough day.

I got a free *legitimate* copy of Windows XP Professional. Woohoo.
I really love orchestra. This makes me sad.
Sharon Brauman is SO MEAN! (If you don't know who she is, be glad.)
The one day that I'm *not* the last person to be done in lab, I get yelled at for something else. And I wasn't even doing it.
I think I may withdraw from Bio.
I am so not in any shape to deal with all this crap right now.

Much is going on. I will post a notification when I get around to finishing the blog about Big Dance (listed below under May 18, 2002). In the meantime, here are other topics of recent note::
- Jars of Clay/Jennifer Knapp concert; singing with half of Tmony
- CCC BBQ on the Oval
- Twain/Okada dorm shows
- I found another Jim Brickman fan!!! :D
- girldate! (slightly revised...sowwee)
- Rinc-A-Delt
- still undetermined summer plans: Girl Scouts counselor? Applied Biosystems intern? on- or off-campus housing?
What a horrible week to have TSF. Ugh.
But I suppose it's better than last quarter. It was pretty impressive when TSF managed to fall on the week that I had 3 midterms in 3 consecutive days.
I hate driving in San Francisco. With a passion. Especially wandering up and down stupid one-way streets at 10:45 at night looking for supposedly open restaurants when you're tired and just want to go home.
Yeah, sorry Mom and Dad, I know you would never have let me do that.
But, praise God - our CD is mastered! (Pending minor revisions on track volume and silence intervals, that is.)

Stopped by the Rinc alumni party (another annual tradition in conjuction with Rinc-A-Delt) for a little while with Bryan. Apparently, we missed the major surge of people, but there were still a good number of old Rincsters there. It was good to see them briefly and say hi. I was reminded again, though, of how bad I am with dealing with drunk people. It's really unfun. And I never really know how to act because it's like, Hi, I'm normal and you're really not! Ha! What do I say to you? :P Ugh. I am very not fond of the drinking scene.
Yay for talks with good friends, though. :)

Hmm. So, Big Dance. :)
I was at Roble Gym for a total of about 11.5 hours last night/this morning...dang. I arrived there a little before 7:00pm to help the decorations committee finish setting up. But thanks to Lacey's and DeMara's incredible planning and organization, we actually finished around 8:00pm - a whole hour early! At this point, I got snagged into helping Illy (sp? people jokingly call him Silly Illy) set up all the food stuffs (haha, I stole Chi-En's word). I cut oranges into little half-slices for 45 minutes! Whoo - go me! ;) My hands seriously smelled like oranges for the first hour or so of the dance. But I'm glad I was able to be of some help where it was really needed. Illy and I also had an interesting time figuring out how to make Gatorade and lemonade from a powder mix, seeing as we didn't have large measuring cups or a way of measuring out 2 gallons of water. Following several taste tests and slight revisions, I think we came up with an approximate ratio of powder to liquid. I'm assuming everyone liked it all right, seeing as the juice bowls emptied at an amazing rate! I helped out with the drink refills several times over the course of the night so that poor Illy didn't have to lug huge punch bowls back and forth across the Roble courtyard all by himself.
OK, so you're all probably bored with that long paragraph about drinks. Sorry. ;) On to the topic of...dancing! ;) I definitely had a great time dancing last night. There were two rooms open - the dance studio, where a couple live bands were playing for about half of the night, and also the gym, where there was mostly DJ'ed swing music (with intermittent waltzes, two-step, and cha-cha).
[to be continued in this post shortly...]
Guess who made it all the way through Big Dance...
[Details to follow. After I regain proper brain processing power.]

The midterm sucked. Majorly.
I studied all the WRONG STUFF! YARGH!
But at least everyone else I know feels exactly the same way. I cringe to think of what the mean will be.
Having electricity and magnetism all in one quarter is really unpleasant.
Well, can't stop to rest - still gotta finish these two problem sets...
Is it a bad sign if I'm not sure I feel like going to Big Dance anymore?

Tears are exhausting. I slept for 2.5 hours this afternoon. This is bad.
The last few days have been good in the non-academic sense.
But I'm really stressed out.

OK, I know you're somewhere in China with no email access whatsoever, but for when you get back...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOMMY!!!
I love you too!!! *muah* :)
I missed you yesterday on Mother's Day, so
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TOO!
Oh, my goodness.
Somebody help me.
I think I may declare ChemE.
:-O

I'm back.
Meggy sent me a basket of flowers!! Pretty, pretty white daisies. Isn't she a sweetheart?! I was so surprised when I got back to my desk. I love you Megs!
Retreat was really great. I feel a lot more like a part of Campus Crusade now. The girls there are really awesome. I'm sure the guys are awesome too but I don't many of them that well yet, excepting a few. Maybe I'll have time to elaborate about more of the retreat later. (Riiight.)
Oh, but ugh, my allergies were YUCKY in Danville. :(
Visit home was nice too. Went out to dim-sum with my dad and my grandparents. (My mommy is in Hong Kong...*sniff*.) :( So I didn't get to see my mom for Mother's Day, but that okay because she should be having lots of fun on a tour in China with my aunt right now.
I have a lot to do. Random chores and errands and, of course, schoolwork.
I feel blah.

Leaving shortly for the CCC retreat. Be gone till Sunday. (I'm visiting home on the way back.)
I am the only one to blame for this
Somehow it all adds up the same
...
      Take my world apart
      I am on my knees
      Take my world apart
      Broken on my knees.
...More and more I need You now
I owe You more each passing hour
...So steal my heart and take the pain
Take the selfish, take the weak
And all the things I cannot hide
Take the beauty, take my tears
Take my world apart, take my world apart
I pray, I pray, I pray
Take my world apart.
Lord, I am so sorry.
Kris is the best!! :D
He came over for a good hour tonight to help me with my physics.
I don't know if you read this, but if you do, thank you so much!! You're awesome! :)
I definitely forgive you for your bad math joke... ;)

Argh! I can't believe I'm at the point where we'll be lucky to get into WILBUR!
Bad, bad draw number. :'(
Me and Janet (unpreferred) = 2801.
We'd really wanted to live in Trancos, but that's really not going to happen. We probably won't even get into Okada. It looks like we're going to be stuck in Mirrielees, and this is very depressing.
*sigh*

From a conversation with Chris about potential summer plans::
TPiglette (5:12:45 PM): and interning is always supposed to be good for future career and blah blah blah
Consumer Z247 (5:13:01 PM): career my butt
Consumer Z247 (5:13:06 PM): the girl scouts need cookies
Again, I have no time to write even though I have a TON I want to write about. So here are some brief thoughts::
- Show was awesome. Songs went well, skits were funny, testimony was powerful, choreography rocked. My solo did not disaster-ize. Many special people to me came to support me. God is awesome.
- Swing dancing afterward was fun! New partners are cool. I learned some new moves - even a couple aerials!
- The River's first Sunday at the new location (San Jose State University) was really exciting and cool.
- Megan and Gavan completed our last mixing day. NO MORE MIXING!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!
- I *love* my CCC Bible study.
- I just got back from working on E20 with Kris and his roommate Tony for about 3 hours. I think I scared them with my incoherency at the end. Need sleep...
Oh-so-fun stuff for this week::
- E20 pset which is taking FOREVER
- chem lab tomorrow
- 2 lab reports due Wed.
- Bio midterm Thurs.
- physics pset due Fri. (oy)
Actually-fun stuff coming up::
- NO TMONY REHEARSAL this week (whee!!)
- CCC Spring Retreat this weekend!
- visiting home on the way back from the retreat

** The First A Cappella Show of the Spring!! Don't Miss It! **
Ha, ha, ha. I think I'm in a delirium state. I just got back from dress rehearsal for our show tomorrow (announcement post coming soon...). And before that, I was in the studio all day until dinner. It's definitely been another crazy Tmony week. (Aren't they all?, I bet you're thinking.) Anyway though, I think I'm really excited about our show tomorrow. :D (I get alternately excited and scared.)
God is awesome. Always.

RINC is gonna *rock* next year!! It's like a Rinc '00-'01 TAKEOVER, seriously! Or more like, a takeover of both Rinc and Otero! (For those of you who don't know, Rinc and Otero are neighboring dorms perpendicular to each other, making up one corner of Wilbur Hall.) This is soo cool!! I'm totally excited and I'm not even involved! ;)
Campus Crusade was awesome tonight.
But since then, my mood has managed to take a 180-degree swing. In fact, I really just want everything to go away.
Annie's diagnosis:: I'm really stressed and really tired and hanging out with the same people too much.
Word.
